Product Development & DESIGN MANAGER
At York Wallcoverings, I managed a team of designers within the RoomMates Studio, which I and the executive leader had hand-selected. As the Graphic Design Studio Manager, I led an initiative to implement project management tools like Trello. These tools allowed the design team to go from 8 designers to 3.
My main objectives were organizing, managing, delegating, and directing tasks and projects as they moved through the studio. In addition to those responsibilities, I oversaw all projects and designs created by my team while assuming all responsibilities as a Lead Graphic Designer. Typical tasks included, but were not limited to, product design for wall art and decals, packaging design, digital interior design mock-ups, and any necessary branding and marketing materials needed, such as web banners. I continued to work with licensors and curated art to create new products and create custom illustrations for production.
Our designs have been featured at various well-known stores such as Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Barnes and Noble, Hot Topic, Buy Buy Baby, Meijer, and other stores, and were sold internationally.
