Different Communities

The topic of this publication was chosen after writing an essay about an event that was attended by my class. The professor highlighted two words out of the essay and we were required to create a small 8.5" X 5.5" booklet that embodied the topic. My words were "different communities," so I chose to create a booklet that emphasized the different patterns within different communities in nature. This concept is also known as "emergence." All of the drawings in the book are hand illustrated with microns and the colors were later added as duotones in photoshop.
